>*"They want, in short, to extract a logic from chance, which is like saying, blood from stones; and they are convinced they'll succeed, today or at the latest, tomorrow."*

##### Welcome to my new on-line reference and workspace.
[[Notes/Overview]]: Here I am compiling reference notes for concepts in probability theory, particularly a development for students who want to understand how scientists make decisions in the face of uncertainty. These notes are meant as a companion to numerous worksheets and exercises that are built for exploration of randomness through the [Stochastics Lab](http://stochastics-lab.net) website. This website contains visualizations of probability distributions, easy setups to run classic probability experiments, and some basic tools to generate statistical analyses of .csv formatted data.

In the **Research** folder, I have provided an overview of my various research interests. This is meant to provide some context for why my collaborators and I have chosen to develop the projects we have. This will grow over time, but a good place to start for some thoughts on how I approach my particular blend of mathematics, statistics, and applications to biology and economics, please take a look at this [[_Research Introduction_]].
The **Stochastics Lab** folder is a new experiment that I hope will help in the development of ideas and in connecting with others who share an interest in some of the topics that I find fascinating. Please consider each of these pages to be works in progress. They consist of reference notes, worked examples, proofs of concept, visualizations of stochastic objects in classic works, and frustrating unresolved mysteries. If you find anything of interest that you would like to learn more about, or, more likely, if you find mistakes, missing links/citations, or good spots for improvement, please feel free to reach out!
